SMS terms and conditions
1. consent to receive SMS
by entering your phone number through the bandsbandsbands signup flow, the "add SMS" affordance on the settings page, or any other web-based phone-capture form on bandsbandsbands.app, you consent to receive text messages from bandsbandsbands.
your consent is not a condition of any purchase. you can opt out at any time by replying STOP or removing the SMS channel from your settings.
2. types of messages
transactional
- 6-digit verification codes (Twilio Verify) when you sign up or add SMS to an existing account
- login links when you reply login to an inbound message
- show reminders for shows you marked "want tickets" or "going"
recurring digest
- daily digest of new tour dates, news, and recommendations for the bands and cities you follow
- occasional breaking-news sends when a band you follow announces a major tour
- recommendation messages for new bands or shows that match your taste graph
3. message frequency
- typical: 1 message per day (the digest)
- burst: up to 1-3 messages per week when bands you follow announce tours
- transactional: only sent when you explicitly request a verification code, login link, or show reminder
4. message and data rates
message and data rates may apply. check with your mobile carrier for plan details. bandsbandsbands does not charge for SMS messages.
5. how to opt out (STOP)
you can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:
- replying STOP to any message
- replying STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT
- removing the SMS channel from your settings page on bandsbandsbands.app
- emailing support@bandsbandsbands.app
after opting out you will receive a one-time confirmation message and no further sends from this program.

7. supported carriers
SMS messages are supported on all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and most MVNOs. carrier support is subject to change. carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. privacy
your phone number and SMS preferences are protected under our privacy policy. mobile information will never be shared with or sold to third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. mobile data is used solely for delivering the messaging services you requested.
9. record retention
we retain records of your consent, including:
- timestamp of when you provided consent
- the consent disclosure language displayed at the time of opt-in
- source URL where consent was collected
- IP address and user agent
- your phone number in E.164 format
these records are retained for 4 years in compliance with TCPA requirements.
